Friday & Saturday, October 6 & 7, 2006 -Falling UP is an
open-share collaborative dance performance by Inkub8’s
Vivian Marthell and Heather Maloney. Falling UP features
the intense emotional choreography of Maloney as she
ventures through an autobiographical reality steeped in
recollection and hopeful expectation. Heather is joined on
stage by John Beauregard whose characters are at once
sinister and comforting.
Falling UP is dance performance in six short story
vignettes -an anthology of self-discovery taking the viewer
into an intimate journey of childhood innocence,
exploitation and healing. Set in a dream like veiled
space, the performers incorporate humor and intrigue in
the reassembly of fractured of life experiences.
Heather Maloney is an east coast based dancer sharing
her time between New York and South Florida. John
Beauregard is a South Florida-based dancer. Vivian
Marthell a visual artist is also South Florida-based.
Falling UP is presented at FIU VH-100, 11120 SW 8th
Street, on Friday & Saturday, October 6 & 7, 2006 at 8:

This program is part of Florida International University’s Theater and Dance
Department’s VH 100 Series. The VH 100 Series is funded by the State of Florida
Division of Cultural Affairs, Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and

creative residency at The Center For New Dance Development in Portland, ME.
