heather maloney
Choreographer Heather Maloney's work has been presented at
Bates Dance Festival, Florida Dance Festival, and New World
School of the Arts, Fundaza Cumuna Venezuela. Maloney has
received commissions from Miami Dance Futures, Tigertail
Productions and Fred Bratcher and Dancers.   In 2002 her
evening entitled "We Live in Rooms inside of Rooms" was listed
as one of the top ten Dance events of Miami in the Miami
Herald.

Maloney is Recipient of the Manhattan Community Arts Fund /
New York City Department of Cultural Affairs administered by
the Lower Manhattan Cultural Affairs. Residencies include a
five-week residency at Queens Museum of Art, Flushing
Queens NY summer 2003, and a creative residency at The
Center For New Dance Development in Portland, ME, 2005 a
collaborative project of the Bates Dance Festival and the New
Dance Studio in Portland, ME. In June 2004 Maloney was
awarded a National Network Performance Network Residency
through a Community Fund   awarded to Tigertail Productions.  
Through this residency Maloney continued her work with the
Mentally and physically disabled community within the greater
Miami. Maloney is Co Director of InKub8 open-share
collaborating collective.

Maloney has taught workshops at Florida International
University, New World School of the Arts, Bates College as well
as in Brazil and Venezuela.

As a Dancer Maloney has performed with Octavio Campos,
Michael Foley, Indonesian choreographer Hartati, Giovanni
Luquini and Dancers, Gerri Houlihan and Dancers, Jennifer
Nugent
